Education:
George Washington University: M.B.A. Environmental Policy and Management
The University of Virginia: B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Spanish

As Manager of the Agriculture program in The Center for Environmental Leadership in Business (CELB), Brian manages relationships between private sector businesses engaged in food and agriculture production and Conservation International (CI) around the world, contributing to development of corporate engagement strategies for CI programs in key regions. Brian leads CELB’s engagement with oil palm companies. In Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, he coordinates and provides technical assistance to projects focusing on best management practices for biodiversity conservation in oil palm producing landscapes.

Prior to this position with CI, Brian was an enterprise development consultant for environmentally-based small businesses in Latin America and Southeast Asia. He has also conducted several short term consulting assignments for CI including a year in Guatemala where focused on the production and marketing of non-timber rainforest products. Brian is fluent in Spanish.
