Glenn T. Prickett is a Senior Vice President with Conservation International, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the Earth’s biological diversity. CI works in over 40 countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa to protect biodiversity and to demonstrate that human societies and nature can live harmoniously.

Glenn founded and continues to serve as Executive Director of CI’s Center for Environmental Leadership in Business, a division of CI that engages leading global corporations in creating environmental solutions. Under Glenn’s leadership, CI has pioneered innovative partnerships with business leaders such as Wal-Mart, Bank of America, Starbucks, McDonald’s Alcoa, BP, and many others across a wide range of industries. These partnerships are changing business practices of key industries and generating significant investments in conservation around the globe.

Glenn also leads CI’s efforts to combat climate change and to ensure that endangered species and vulnerable communities can adapt to its impacts. This is a multi-disciplinary effort involving dozens of CI scientists, economists, policy analysts, natural resource managers, community development specialists, and communicators. Under Glenn’s leadership, CI has become a powerful voice in international policy debates and an effective partner for businesses, governments, and communities who are taking concrete action to tackle climate change.

Glenn is a widely recognized expert on the environment, business, and public policy. He has appeared regularly in the media, including Business Week, CNN, Fortune, NBC Today and Nightly News, The Financial Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and others. He is co-author of Footprints in the Jungle: Natural Resources Industries, Infrastucture, and Biodiversity Conservation published by Oxford University Press.

Prior to joining CI, Glenn served as Chief Environmental Advisor at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) during the Clinton Administration and prior to that as a Senior Associate with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) in Washington, DC. He currently serves on the boards of the Keystone Center, the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust, and the Great Falls Citizens Association. Glenn graduated from Yale University in 1988 with a B.A. in economics and political science. He lives in Great Falls, Virginia with his wife Lisa and sons Benjamin and Jed. Aside from his family and conservation, Glenn’s other passion is music. He currently performs with the Oxymorons (www.oxymorons.com), a popular blues, rock, and funk band in Washington DC.
