Katrin Olson joined Conservation International's Center for Environmental Leadership in Business (CELB) in February 2007. In her current role, Katrin works with the Business and Marketing team to communicate CELB’s message and highlight the accomplishments of its corporate partnerships. Her primary responsibilities revolve around promoting CELB’s successes through the news media.
Before joining CELB, Katrin spent a few years working in the public relations agency arena, providing communications counsel and media relations support to clients in a variety of industries. Prior to that, she was part of the strategic communications team at Environmental Defense.
Starting her career off as a journalist, Katrin was with Hart Publications, Inc., a global energy news publishing company where she covered the oil and ethanol industries. While at Hart, Katrin became the in-house expert on climate change writing an ongoing series on the issue for several newsletters.
