The American University: M.A. International Peace and Conflict Resolution with a focus on International Development

Rebecca joined Conservation International as Tourism Coordinator in January 2007, acting as a liaison between CELB’s Travel and Leisure program and the Regional Program Division’s Ecotourism Program. She provides administrative and project support to the Tourism team, specifically working on initiatives to promote good environmental practice among the major sectors of the tourism industry operating in sensitive areas that are especially vulnerable due to high tourism traffic.

Rebecca comes to CELB with several years of experience working in ecotourism and other community development initiatives, mostly in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest and other parts of Latin America. Rebecca is originally from Vermont and has lived abroad in Ecuador, Italy, and Brazil.
