Our partnership with Aveda Corporation is focused on supporting CI's biodiversity conservation efforts.
- Since 1997, Aveda's partnership with CI has helped to strengthen communities and the local Brazil nut industry in Peru's Tambopata-Candamo reserve zone by creating a new use for a Brazil nut by-product in Aveda hair-care products.
- Aveda supported and played a role in CI's conservation enterprise development training workshop for representatives from nine Latin American countries in Bolivia in 2001.
- With the support of CI, Aveda helped to capitalize an independently operated business, Profores, in Puerto Maldonado, Peru to produce and market sustainable rainforest products.
