Our partnership with BG Group is focused on supporting CI's biodiversity conservation efforts and raising consumer awareness about conservation issues.
• In May 2007, BG Group and CI kicked off their three-year Conservation through Photography Alliance with the premier of a public photography exhibition entitled A Future for Life that debuted in downtown Houston. The show included more than 60 images that take viewers from the spectacular wildlife of the Pantanal wetland in Brazil to the depths of the coral reefs of the Raja Ampat archipelago in Indonesia to the jungles of the Congo.
The Alliance aims to build awareness of the importance of the natural world and to demonstrate how photography can be used as a tool to conserve it. The partnership directs its efforts to documenting the people, places and animals within the world’s biodiversity hotspots, key wilderness and marine regions.
