Our partnership with Boise Cascade, LLC, is focused on promotion of sustainable wood fiber production and forest conservation in biologically important ecosystems around the world.
- Boise and CI have worked together on successful multi-stakeholder efforts to strengthen and implement the biodiversity conservation provisions of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) Standard.
- In 2003, Boise highlighted CI's work as a scientific foundation for the company’s environmental policy, which includes explicit commitments to align the company’s wood production and sourcing practices with natural forest conservation in the biodiversity hotspots and major tropical wilderness areas.
- Boise and CI are working together closely on policy and private sector initiatives to combat illegal logging, which threatens protected areas and the survival of endangered species in biologically rich countries, such as Indonesia.
