Our partnership with ConocoPhillips, as operator for its partners Eni Venezuela and OPIC, is focused on protecting critical ecosystems in Venezuela's Gulf of Paria through sustainable fishing and best practices in oil and gas development.
- ConocoPhillps and Conservation International are working with local stakeholders to assess the biodiversity values of the region and design and implement measures that promote conservation through improved resource management from local communities.
- Partnership activities include an assessment of marine habitats near ConocoPhillips' concession area and a threats and opportunities assessment in the region, which were used to develop part of ConocoPhillips' Environmental Impact Assessment. more
