| | In August of 2006 CI joined forces with the Maquipucuna Foundation (Fundacion Maquipucuna), a non-profit foundation located in Quito, Ecuador.
The primary goal of this partnership agreement is to manage restoration and protection of the Chocó-manabí Conervation Corridor at the Tumbes Chocó Magdalena hotspot along the Maquipucuna reserve.
In the first year’s planting, approximately 87 acres(35 hectares) have been restored. Learn more about Maquipucuna, here.
