Our partnership with Rainforest Alliance is focused on encouraging best practices for coffee cultivation methods
CI, the Rainforest Alliance and the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center, along with leaders in the coffee industry, produced the Conservation Principles for Coffee Production. The Principles formed a basis for the Starbucks Green Coffee Purchasing Guidelines and Preferred Supplier Pilot Program announced in 2001. (Relaunched as the C.A.F.E. (Coffee and Farmer Equity) Practices program in 2004). more
